I am a bilingual Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, as well an AASECT Certified Sex Therapist. I am an adjunct professor in the Sex Therapy Certificate Program at Adler University, where I teach a course on diversity and sex therapy. I have advanced training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). I also provide clinical supervision to therapists in training.

 

I approach therapy in a gentle and compassionate manner. My focus is on individuals, couples, and therapists who want to address their relational, emotional, and sexual wellbeing. I believe that relationships, both with ourselves and with others, are at the core of emotional health. My clients seek to improve emotional connections and empathy, as well as their experience of sex and sexuality. I am clinically trained to work with a wide range of clients and issues.

I typically work with folks struggling with relationship issues, sex/sexuality, intimacy, anxiety and depression, life transitions, and family of origin matters. My therapeutic style is systemic, attachment based, empathetic and at times directive. I am able to practice psychotherapy in both English and Spanish.

I view therapy as an opportunity for you to be able to express what you have not been able to, in your day to day life. I know reaching out can be scary, but with time, my hope is that we are able to grow a trusting and warm relationship, that allows space for you to fully express who you are.
